What exactly is Amie?
Amie is a pelvic floor care platform for women who are pregnant through their first year postpartum. Think of it like a gym membership for your pelvic floor—you get a personalized exercise program that adapts to your progress, virtual coaching sessions with a licensed pelvic floor PT, and direct text access for questions along the way.
How does Amie work?
After signing up, you'll complete a questionnaire about your pregnancy, delivery, and current symptoms, plus a few quick self-assessments. These help the app understand your body's current state so your program is truly personalized to YOU.
From there, you'll get your customized exercise program. Check in daily with how you're feeling, and the app adjusts your exercises in real-time based on your symptoms and progress. The more feedback you give—rating exercises, logging symptoms, tracking how your body feels—the smarter your program gets.
Your membership also includes virtual coaching sessions (2-8 depending on your tier). Your first session is a 45-minute evaluation to review your goals, check your form, and make sure your program is dialed in. Follow-up sessions are 30 minutes. You can also text your PT anytime with questions between sessions.
Who creates the programs? Are they truly personalized?
Amie's exercise programs were developed by Dr. Anna, a licensed physical therapist with nearly a decade of experience specializing in pelvic rehabilitation for new mothers. The app's algorithm then personalizes your program based on your specific symptoms, pregnancy/postpartum stage, and strength as assessed by our self-assessments.
When should I start using Amie?
Always consult your healthcare provider before starting any exercise program during pregnancy or postpartum.
You can begin using Amie anytime during your pregnancy or in your first year postpartum. We actually recommend starting during pregnancy so you're already set up and comfortable with the app when those early postpartum days hit—when you need support most but can't exactly drive to a PT appointment.
How much time will I need to commit each day?
Your full daily program typically takes around 20 minutes and is designed specifically to fit into a busy mom's schedule. But we know real mom life doesn't always allow for 20 minutes - that's why you can choose shorter workout options of 5, 10, or 15 minutes on days when time is tight.
The app adapts to whatever time you have available while still keeping you on track with your recovery goals.

Are digital programs as effective as traditional PT?
Amie combines the best of both worlds. Our programs use the same evidence-based techniques as clinical settings, but with the added benefit of ongoing PT support through texting and coaching sessions. When under traditional PT care, most recovery happens at home anyway - Amie ensures you're never doing it alone, with expert guidance available when you need it.
The difference? You're not waiting weeks for an appointment or paying $200/session. You get year-round access to your personalized program plus direct access to a licensed PT - all for less than the cost of two traditional visits.
What issues can Amie help with?
Amie addresses a wide range of pregnancy and postpartum concerns including maintaining strength during pregnancy, preparing for birth, pelvic floor dysfunction, diastasis recti, back/hip pain, core weakness, posture issues, and general postpartum recovery.
Have questions about your specific situation? That's what your coaching sessions are for—and you can text your PT anytime. Not sure if Amie is right for you? Book a free 15-minute discovery call and we can figure it out together.
How soon will I see results?
Many women notice improvements in symptoms within 2-3 weeks of consistent exercise. More significant changes in strength and function typically occur within 6-8 weeks. The key is consistency - and that's why the app tracks your progress and adapts your program along the way.
Is this safe if I had a C-section or complicated delivery?
Always get clearance from your healthcare provider before starting any exercise program, especially after complications or C-section delivery.
That said, yes - Amie can absolutely support your recovery. Your program will be tailored to your specific delivery experience and recovery needs based on your self-assessments.
Had a particularly complex situation? Book a free 15-minute discovery call and let's chat about whether Amie is the right fit for you.
Why is the membership a full year?
Pelvic floor health isn't a quick fix - it's ongoing care, just like the rest of your body. You wouldn't go to the gym for 6 weeks and expect to be set for life, right?
The same is true for your pelvic floor. Consistent work over time is what prevents small issues (like occasional leaking) from becoming big problems later (like prolapse or chronic pain). A year gives your body time to build real strength, and gives YOU time to build habits that stick.
Think of your membership as an investment in your future self - one where you're not dealing with pelvic floor dysfunction 5, 10, or 20 years down the road.

How do I access the programs?
Amie is available through our secure, mobile-friendly web platform, allowing you to access your personalized program anytime, anywhere - no app download required. Just log in from your phone, tablet, or computer.
What if I need modifications or have questions?
Your program automatically adjusts based on your daily feedback after each session. For questions or concerns along the way, you can text your licensed PT directly—that's included in your membership.
Need more hands-on guidance? Add extra coaching sessions anytime for $49 each.
For medical concerns or pain issues, always consult your healthcare provider.
What's the difference between Amie and free postpartum exercise videos I can find online?
Generic videos don't know anything about YOU. Amie provides a comprehensive assessment and personalized program targeting your specific needs, symptoms, and recovery stage - and it adapts as you progress.
Each exercise includes detailed form guidance to ensure safety and effectiveness. Plus, you have direct access to a licensed PT if you have questions. Free YouTube videos can't do that.
How does PT texting work?
You can message your licensed PT anytime through the platform for exercise guidance, form questions, and program support. PTs typically respond within 24 hours on business days.
Please note: PTs cannot provide medical advice or diagnose conditions through text messaging. For medical concerns, pain that worsens, or urgent issues, always contact your healthcare provider.
What can my PT help with through texting?
Your PT can help with:
Exercise guidance and form corrections
Questions about your program
Modifications based on how you're feeling
General recovery education and support
They cannot diagnose conditions, provide medical advice, or address urgent medical concerns through text. Always contact your healthcare provider for medical questions or concerning symptoms.
